So I would suggest if your child is trying to be independent you are better off with a traditional style with arms they can put on themselves. Glasses look great and are very comfortable. The lenses are very dark, so I only tend to wear them in bright sunlight. However I didn't intend to wear them in normal light, so for me these sunnies are perfect!
